OneRepublic tease new single 'No Vacancy'

OneRepublic have dropped a teaser for their new single ‘No Vacancy’, which will be released on Friday.

Back on Monday, they revealed that there would be new music coming this week. In response to a fan’s tweet, they also confirmed that they’d hidden the song title in one of their recent tweets.

Yesterday, all was revealed as they confirmed the title as ‘No Vacancy’ by sharing a picture of the single artwork.

Earlier today, they ramped up the excitement even further by sharing a 20-second snippet of the song. Having previously used the word ‘summer’ to describe the song, we couldn’t agree more. The teaser doesn’t give too much away but we’re feeling the fun summer vibes already, and we’re counting on ‘No Vacancy’ to be our next favourite bop.

From the teaser, it’s safe to say that the track is taking OneRepublic in another musical direction. However, following Oh My My, their most experimental album to date, we’re not surprised to hear the five-piece steering towards a slightly more electronic sound. They have become synonymous for their anthemic tracks, but they’ve also proven that they are dab hands at evolving and successfully trying something new. We’ve got no doubt that they will deliver something incredible when the track is released tomorrow.

We’ve got a little while longer to wait until the full version of ‘No Vacancy’, but for now, here’s the 20-second snippet to whet your appetite.

From the sounds of it, we can expect a lot more new music from OneRepublic very soon. In a tweet to a fan, they confirmed that they’re taking a break from doing albums and will concentrate on individual songs for the time being.

Oh My My was the band’s fourth studio album, and was released back in October.

Whether it’s singles or albums, we’re just excited for another new era of music from OneRepublic. ‘No Vacancy’ will be released tomorrow (Friday April 28).
